Time to start collecting gently used books for exchange and donation! We will begin accepting books on Monday, May 9 in both the classrooms and the Big Room. Students will have the opportunity to select new books with their class on Thursday, May 12. All remaining books will go to Wellspring Family Services. Located in the Rainier Valley, Wellspring is focused on families who are experiencing crisis. One of Wellspring's services is to provide access to the essential items needed for the safety, health and development of children. Their Wellspring boutique serves families with children ages 0-17 who are experiencing homelessness. At the boutique, free children's items (new and gently used) such as clothing, shoes, equipment, and multicultural learning toys and books are provided free of charge.
