Board of Directors

The Valley School is a tax-exempt, non-profit corporation whose board of directors oversees the financial and legal affairs of the school.

As director of the school and ex officio board member, Barry Wright is in charge of day-to-day operations and educational decision-making for the school, and is answerable to the board for all activities.

Faculty members take an active and supportive role in formulating general policies and defining specific goals. The director keeps in close contact with the board members, each of whom has a valued perspective on the school and particular areas of concern.

Board members have diverse areas of expertise, which have greatly benefited the school. Most importantly, they are added to the board because they fully understand and support the school's educational philosophy and social mission.
